Conference Call, Christmas Sales

    Hi Kathleen, I just listened to the conference call, and wanted to throw in my two cents. Since I work with a bunch of helpless (or lazy?) men, what's worked really well for me here is doing gifts up for the guys AND WRAPPING them also! Some of my sales, if they are buying a nice basket too, I'm using actual green, red or white netting and actual fabric bows. I tell them that I will wrap in for them, but that they'll pay for the material. I usually charge $3 - $5 for the netting and bow. They've already been charged by me for the basket, I've got them anywhere from $2 - $15 for a nice large handled basket. Two of my most nicest baskets have two large bath towels in them. I don't tell them that they are from the dollar store right around the corner, but then they have a complete "spa" basket when I'm done. The two bath towels really complete the look, and they think they've got a personal shopper!
